The headquarters of distribution multi-national, W. W. Grainger, consists of two linear 630- by 120-ft wings, integrated through an atrium that offers generous public spaces and pedestrian bridges.  The floor plan establishes a flexible, column-free environment.  Superstructure includes steel columns, steel floor framing, and steel braced bays.  Composite deck is made of cellular composite steel deck and concrete.  Within the thickness of the cellular floor deck, trenches are provided for electrical cabling.
