The University of Chicago School of Business, Chicago

The University of Chicago’s new Graduate School of Business is a five story building located on the University’s main Hyde Park campus. The building houses tiered classrooms, faculty offices, a multi-purpose room, computer labs, and a cafeteria.A major destination point is an 8,800 sq ft steel-framed, glass-enclosed winter garden marked by four steel pillars that soar above. A cantilevered wing references the nearby Robie House, a Prairie-style building by Frank Lloyd Wright.

Koz Sowlat, SE, served as chief structural engineer.
