Transformers: Age of Extinction is a 2014 American science fiction action film based on the Transformers toy line. It is the fourth installment of the live-action Transformers film series, prominently featuring scenes filmed in Chicago.
At a grain silo site, on the south branch of the Chicago River and Damen Ave, two box bridges were demolished under controlled set of explosions. SOWLAT served as structural engineers for modifications to the bridges and sequence of explosions.
SOWLAT served as structural engineers for unusual loads and thermal exposures, at Upper Wacker Drive and at Randolph Street, Chicago.
