100 SOUTH STATE STREET, Chicago

100 SOUTH STATE STREET renovation and expansion features adaptive re-use of an existing, five-story Amalgamated Bank Building, for retail and office, and an Addition.  A new, five-story Addition extends the existing building to the south, by one bay. The new five-story Addition re-uses Level 1 framing, brick foundation walls, and continuous footings that were built in 1885.

Re-use of existing foundations, reduced permitting time and simplified construction.
